1/2 c sugar
1/2 c packed brown sugar
1/2 c peanut butter
1/2 c butter, room temp
1 egg
1 1/4 cup flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
beat butter until creamy, 2 min. Add sugar, beat for 2 more min. Mix in the peanut butter and egg. Mix together the dry ingredients- flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Stir the dry ingredients into the sugar butter mix.
Wrap dough in plastic and refrigerate for at least 3 hrs
preheat oven 375F shape dough into 1 1/4 in balls. place about 3 in apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten in crisscross parttern with fork. Bake until light brown, 9 to 10 min. Cool on baking sheets fro a minute; transfer to rack to cool completely.
for chewier cookies, bake at 300F for 15 min
