1tsp cummin seeds
2 bay leafs
1 tsp garam masala
1 small onion

1/4 tsp tumeric
1 1/2 ginger garlic paste

1 big onion sliced
1 big tomato chopped
1 1/2 ginger garlic paste
2 tsp coriander powder
1 1/2 cumin powder
2 cans chickpeas or 1.5 dry cups pressure cooked until soft.
cook first 4 ingredients, spices first, then fry onions until soft.
add tumeric and ginger garlic paste, and cook a 1 more.
Add chickpeas.
while chickpeas are cooking, brown and cook sliced onion, and blend with chopped fresh tomato. fry for 4-5 min, add ginger garlic, coriander, cumin until oil separates.
Add channa and chicken broth. finish/garnish with fresh cilantro
